The proximity component of the DuoProx BuzzCard is an electronic chip and antenna that is embedded within the Card. When you present a DuoProx BuzzCard at a proximity card reader, the card emits an unique radio frequency signal which is received and deciphered by the card reader. Access is either granted or not granted depending upon your access privileges in SACS. The proximity reader range can vary from approximately 7" up to 20," depending upon whether a short-range or long-range proximity reader has been installed.
