Families & Other Residents Information
Family residents and other approved guests may be eligible to receive a BuzzCard. Review the information below for eligibility requirements, card pricing, and additional details before submitting your request.
Eligibility
Immediate family members of current students, faculty, staff, and confirmed alumni (spouses, domestic partners, and children over eighteen years of age) can obtain a BuzzCard through Swarm Support. Family member gtID#s are generated by Swarm Support. A BuzzCard will be required to access GT facilities:
- Building & Door Access
- Parking Deck entry
- CRC Access
The current pricing for BuzzCards and their related services along with the accepted forms of payment for the school year is $30 for a Visitor Card. For further information, please contact Swarm Support.

Application Process
- You will be required to log in with your GT username. If you currently have an active session, you will be logged in automatically.
- If you do NOT have a GT username, please contact us directly to submit your request.
To request a BuzzCard for your family member or other residents, you will need to complete a request form and include the following with your submission:
- Sponsor (enrolled student, staff or faculty) information: name, GTID #, email
- Family member (for whom the request is being made) information: legal name, date of birth
- Attach verification document for the family member:

- Marriage Certificate
- Health insurance Card
- F2 Visa
- Acceptable Documents:
- Photo (of family member): passport style photo. No selfies, please.
Requests will be processed in 2-3 business days.
